Santa Cruz Tournament

It’s time to get ready for our Santa Cruz Tournament on Wednesday, July 22!  7:30am arrival to find parking, 8am check in.  AVP Bid Event, Main Beach, Santa Cruz

 

First of all - this is an optional travel tournament that all families will have to register and pay for on their own.  This tournament is not covered by Hapa dues.

 

Secondly, you’ll have to organize your own team/partner for the tournament.  You can partner with anyone you’d like - boys partner with boys, girls partner with girls.  The divisions are posted here: https://cbva.com/tournaments/4685/16585.

We can help with partners at practice if needed.  Coach Michelle and Coach Manoa will be at the tournament to offer our support and coaching…and Hapa teammates will be there to cheer you on as well!

 

Lastly, this tournament will most likely sell out.  Here’s what you need to do in order to secure the team’s spot:

 

1. Complete before June 22: Register for or renew your CVBA account: https://cbva.com/sign-up

2. Complete on Monday, June 22 at 6pm: Register and pay for the tournament: https://cbva.com/tournaments/4685/16585

Registration for CVBA tournaments open 30 days before the event.  Therefore, the registration for this tournament opens on 6/22 at 6pm.  I suggest we all log in at 6pm and register right away.  However, you need to have a CVBA account before you can register for the tournament.  So…here are the steps to complete in order to register for the tournament.

 

We suggest you complete this step before registering for the tournament:

1. Create for a CVBA account: https://cbva.com/sign-up If your child is a minor, you’ll have to start with a parent account and then add a minor.  Parents don’t need to pay for their own membership (unless you want to play in a tournament!), but you’ll have to purchase your child’s membership, $35.  You don’t have to purchase the membership early as you can pay later when you register for the tournament.

 

On Monday, June 22 at 6pm:

 

1. Choose one person from your team to complete the registration

2. Go to: https://cbva.com/tournaments/4685/16585

3. Select your child’s age group from the drop down

4. Log in using your CVBA account

5. Complete the registration by dragging your player’s profile to the tournament.

6. Click the +Add button on the left and search for your partner’s name.

7. Add your partner to the team by dragging to the tournament.

8. Click Checkout, pay and complete the registration.

 

It’s easy to register for tournaments - just the timing of the registration is the hard part.
